No One Knows About This Blog

It's not like it's a secret. If anything, it's the exact opposite—a deep divulgence of my innermost thoughts that I'd look mad for spewing to random colleagues and people on the street. It follows logically that most people in my life are not aware of this blog's existence, and I like it that way.

Now, if someone I knew stumbled upon this website and asked me about it, would I deny that it was mine? Of course not. This site is not just my creation; it is a part of who I am. To deny that would be both dishonest and dumb. I'm content with what I write, and most of it is niche drivel, anyhow.

Still, I won't be advertising this website from up on a soapbox or anything like that. Part of why I made this site was to escape the masses of judging eyes that gazed at me, both online and in the flesh-and-blood world. Why invite them back?

Besides, there's a certain virtue in separating one's digital life from their flesh-and-blood life (I don't say "real," since I would argue that the digital world is, for better or for worse, an extension of reality), a virtue that has been severely eroded, if not inverted, in this "modern" age of social media and the addictive mass web.
